PawPal Terms of Service

Welcome to PawPal. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully — they contain important information about your rights and responsibilities.
1. Eligibility
PawPal is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use PawPal. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 will be closed. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information during registration
- Keep your profile information up to date
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- Not share your account credentials with any third party
- Not create more than one personal account
3. Content You Post
You retain ownership of any content — photos, captions, comments — you post on PawPal ("User Content"). By posting, you grant PawPal a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute your content within the platform. You confirm that:
- You own or have permission to share the content
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights
- Your content is accurate and not misleading
4. Community Guidelines
PawPal is a positive, dog-loving community. You agree not to:
- Post content that is abusive, harassing, threatening or hateful
- Share graphic violence or animal cruelty of any kind
- Post spam or pyramid schemes
- Impersonate another person, dog owner or organisation
- Share false or misleading information about your pet's health or vaccination status
- Attempt to access other users' accounts without authorisation
- Use PawPal for any illegal purpose
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly breach them, without prior notice.
5. Community Interactions
PawPal connects dog owners with each other. You acknowledge that:
- You meet other owners at your own risk
- PawPal is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage arising from connections made through the platform
- You should exercise your own judgment before entrusting your pet to another person
6. Health Records
The health records section (vaccinations, clinical history and uploaded documents) is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health concerns about your pet.
7. Intellectual Property
The PawPal name, logo, app design and original content are the intellectual property of PawPal and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
PawPal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawPal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue or personal injury.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of PawPal after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
